The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures the smooth operation of mechanical components in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments by performing preventive maintenance and responding to mechanical failures.
Equipment Installation & Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, machinery, and industrial equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide solutions to prevent operational disruptions
Troubleshooting & Repair:
- Identify mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs or part replacements
- Use tools and diagnostic equipment to test system functionality and performance
- Work with electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure proper machine operation
Technical Support & QHSE Compliance:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for repairs and installations
- Ensure all work complies with QHSE regulations and company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports for future reference
- Report any QHSE incidents at site
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to improve system efficiency
- Provide technical support and training to machine operators when needed
- Recommend improvements for mechanical systems to enhance performance and durability
