Finance Accountant - Southern & Central Europe
About the team and role:
- Supports the Croatian Finance department ensuring up-to-date and compliant accounting records. Assistance in tax affairs, statutory accounting and corporate regulations
- Support and assistance in company compliance to corporate finance policies and standard reports (including Audit). Support Commercial and Operational Departments in their business development
- The role works closely with the Finance Supervisor, Subregional Finance Senior Manager, Regional finance teams and internal stakeholders
- To meet local and corporate reporting deadlines, support audits and respond to information requests
- It also partners with commercial and operational teams to enable business development activities
In this role you will:
- Support in ensuring that the Finance department performs to expected Herbalife standards
- Liaise from time to time with regional finance team on country financial questions
- Cooperation in other activities with Finance Supervisor
- Assistance in Financial Statements reports to meet Local Statutory Reporting requirements
- Assistance in timely filing of company tax returns – corporate and income taxes, VAT, social security etc.
- Support in ensuring that Croatian entity complies with Sarbanes & Oxley Act requirements.
- Support in ensuring of member compliance with company requirements concerning VAT registrations
- Support in ensuring of companies compliance with all necessary reporting requirements
- Assist with Monthly Financial Statements, as per Corporate Policy – due by 4th work day each month
- Assist with Monthly EMEA Management Report, as per Regional requirements – due by 5th work day each month
- Assist with Balance sheet reconciliations including Inter-co accounts on a monthly basis
- Timely responsiveness to Corporate / local requests for information
- Assist with building strong, positive relationships with local team
- Adhering of all administrative activities essential to the running of the Finance department
- Act in compliance with company policies, practices, and regulations. Immediately inform Finance supervisor and upper management of any incidents or concerns of the employees and/or members
- Follow goals and standards for department given by superiors
- Interacts with all levels throughout the Croatian entity, local financial institutions, local vendors and local members
- When necessary interacts with Regional Finance, Internal Audit and Home Office Corporate Finance, Tax and Treasury departments
