Electronic Test Technician (m/f)

We have been retained to recruit Electronic Test Technicians PCB (printed circuit board) for our client – a leading Irish manufacturer and designer of motion control systems and solutions certified to Aerospace standards that improve reliability, safety and performance in complex applications across a wide range of industries. The successful candidates will join their team in their facility in Ringaskiddy, Cork. Summary of Function and Specific Responsibilities: - The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor and supports production activities as required The Job - Key Requirements: - Use schematics, layout drawings, assembly drawings, procedures and specifications to set up and test products. - Use a variety of test equipment such as Digital Multi-Meter’s, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, ESS Chambers and vibration tables for test and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of electronics components and circuitry, (analogue, digital, power) to test and debug a variety of Electronic PCB Assemblies and Systems consisting of passive components to FPGA’s and microprocessors. - Test and debug of electronic motor controllers according to established procedures. - Perform failure analysis for production and returned assemblies and systems and provide feedback to support teams for process improvements. - Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions. Other responsibilities include: - Assist in Technician Training, knowledge sharing and Product familiarisation. - Completion of all necessary test related documentation including yield reporting and non-conformance Data. Maintain accurate records of test results and other production-related documentation. - Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to Personal tool maintenance, Antistatic precautions, FOD, Safety and Housekeeping

General Requirements: - Applicants should possess a minimum level 6 qualification in Electronics Engineering or related discipline - Applicants should have at least two years of experience, preferably in an ISO9001 or equivalent regulated environment - Experience and/or qualifications in Lean is an advantage - IPC 7711/7721 and IPC-A-610 certifications are an advantage Personal Attributes: - The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work to deadlines, within a busy manufacturing environment - Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of an integrated team - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues - Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
