Position overview:
As the Head of Finance at Vetropack Straža d.d., you will oversee all financial and controlling aspects of our business according to local and Vetropack Group standards. Your responsibilities will encompass financial accounting, supplier payments, accounts receivable monitoring, tax compliance, and annual audits following both local and Swiss GAAP. This role requires a collaborative approach to ensure synergy between financial and operational divisions, enhancing overall business efficiency and profitability.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring and ensuring the functional purpose of the Finance, Cost Accounting, Controlling, Accounting and General Administration departments in Vetropack Straža d.d.; coordination between the Finance and Controlling departments; ensuring constructive cooperation with the specialist departments
- Strategic Finance Management: Oversee all aspects of financial planning, management, and analysis. Ensure the effective functioning of Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Administration departments
- Controlling: Lead robust financial analysis including results, situation, cost, and profitability analyses. Develop investment calculations, promote cost awareness, and enhance profitability across departments. Manage financial statements preparation and present FICO agendas at Board meetings
- Accounting: Overall responsibility for truthful, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and income statements. Oversee tax filings and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Auditing: Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with both local and Swiss GAAP. Take active part in company assets control and inventories checks
- Liquidity and Risk Management: Supervise the liquidity management, maintaining optimal cash flow to support business operations
- Team development: lead a team of experienced controlling and accounting professionals, enhance team performance and foster a productive and collaborative work environment
- Continuous improvement: optimize work and continuously improve processes ensuring compliance with group standards and local regulations
