Solutions Architect for EMEA region (m/f)

What will you do in our team? We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team in Zagreb, Croatia. This role is a crucial member of the IMS Pursuit Team during the early engagement phases of customer programs with large industry leading customers. The position requires competencies in data center design, thermal solutions, electrical solutions, as well as customer and presentation skills to deliver custom solutions to meet demanding customer business challenges. As a Solutions Architect you will address Prefabricated Modular Technical Building opportunities in the IT, Telecom, Oil&Gas market segments, it is imperative to have a staff with solutions engineering competencies that can represent team thoughts and ideas in customer-presentable formats. What will you be doing? - Sales, Presales, Engineering, Admin and Marketing - Work closely with Solutions business team across Presales, Engineering, Operations, Deployment functions to lead the cross functional engagement required to close complex technical real estate deals - Work with Client Executives from Vertiv when and where appropriate to provide consistent messaging - Work closely with business units to coordinate product and services strategies, pricing, etc - Must be proficient in providing technical support for solutions in the IT and Telecom industries. Typical solutions will include Data Centres, Energy Centres, Cable Landing Stations, Switching Centres and other solutions in both modular and traditional construction applications - Provide Sales staff with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer facing presentations and engagements including leading customer communications - Coordinate the technical proposals, design documentation, and project proposals to support the design process and delivery to customers - Must be an active Engineer in designing and architecting solution-based projects that include internal design while incorporating third-party components to resolve end-customer solutions and products - Will also lead and participate in customer presentations and project delivery including over-sight and contribution to costing, schedule, site logistics, and customer pricing

What are we looking for? - BS in Engineering and min. 5-10 years’ work experience in data center design and applications - Experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or structural engineering is considered beneficial - Must possess strong organizational and time management skills along with customer interaction skills - Typically, office environment, but also significant travel to customer locations for pre-sales presentations, technical discussions, and design-level interaction with customer engineering teams (travel is estimated to be approximately 50% per year including International.)
