IT Developer (m/f)

Do you revel in data challenges and novel ideas? This position might be for you! The IT Developer is a member of and works in close collaboration with the Global Digitalization team of Care Chemicals. In this position the selected candidate will embark on a complex digitalization journey comprising of algorithm development and rapid prototyping. We are looking for candidates open to critical thinking and ideation and thus formal background is not critical. This position will report to the Managing Director of Croatia and the Global Leader of Digitalization at Care Chemicals. Responsibilities: - Design and develop applications that create added value for the business - Take a part in the development and expansion of an internal datamining platform - Directly support sales with data analyses, modeling, and research - Use internal and external data to identify potential through use of mathematics and algorithms - Interact with stakeholders and provide consultancy to finalize the requirements of future IT solutions - Identify and implement digitalization projects with a goal of increased efficiency and business growth - Promote Digital transformation by optimizing existing business processes and upskilling the workforce via frequent exchange - Implement IT projects according to BASF strategy

- Experience with software development process (CI/CD, DevOps) - Full stack development experience (Backend to Frontend) - Ability to communicate with data scientists (e.g. knowledge in Python and/or R) - Good understanding of machine learning concepts and principles - Ideally experience with data lakes - Fluency in Croatian, very good english proficiency in written and spoken - Competencies: strong interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, problem solving, correctness, commitment to deadlines, team spirit (inter-departmental cooperation), adaptability - (optional or in progress) - University Degree (preferably computer science, data science, mathematics or related field)
