As a procurement assistant, you will provide administrative support to colleagues in the procurement department. You will liaise and collaborate with the buying parties on specific projects, ensuring the order requests are promptly actioned. As part of our procurement team, you will have the opportunity to suggest improvements in daily operations, contributing to effective work processes.
Your main duties:
- Initiate purchasing process, evaluate quotations, place orders, follow up on all orders until the delivery of goods or services
- Interact with suppliers to ensure high quality, competitive price and on time delivery of goods
- Organize and monitor the dispatching of goods both locally and abroad
- Update and manage the supplier database
- Prepare data analyses and reports necessary to optimize the planning and contracting processes
- Visit operational sites abroad whenever required
- Other duties as assigned by the team lead
