What's great about this opportunity? - Join the GDi team specialized for complex data analysis, knowledge extraction from big sets of data, visualization of and insights into knowledge hidden in large data sets and giving algorithmic predictions based on previous and existing data - Give your contribution in developing product that aims to be the top of its kind - Bring your best practices on board and set high standards for the team - Lead and manage team of data insights/foresights developers on various projects Your challenge: We are looking for a Data Science / Insights and Foresights Team Lead (m/f) to manage team members who analyse large amounts of raw information to find patterns and hidden knowledge that will help further develop our product. The team focus is on defining database models, preparing the models for extensive DWH applications, creating smart, comprehensive and semantically rich dashboards, business intelligence reports, creating new ways of giving our customers insights into their business processes embedded within the large data sets. Furthermore, utilizing the newest ML/AI models giving smart and predictive foresight information regarding our customer’s operation, resource allocation, workforce utilization, etc. Some of the applications include solving problems related to planning and optimization of logistics and transport, work shift schedule planning, tracking deliveries, communication with the end user and much more. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights. Your goal will be to analyse trends to make better decisions. You will work on: - Identifying valuable data sources, collecting and preparing relevant data - Building semantically rich reports and dashboard to give better and comprehensive overview over customer's business - Building predictive models and machine-learning algorithms for e.g. planning optimal delivery routes and for shipping schedules - Implementing appropriate machine learning algorithms - Running machine learning tests - Proposing solutions and strategies to business challenges - Manage development team for bringing the insight and foresight capabilities to GDi products - Conducting standard sprint planning activities, task definition, time and effort estimation for defined tasks and user stories. Manage developer tasks and activities using Azure DevOps platform - Performance management and evaluation of team members - Enforcing work methodology, intra-GDi communication and collaboration - GIT source code management – multitenant cloud and on-prem based installations / applications - Management and maintenance activities related to product development / release documentation, tech. Documentation, release design documentation, etc. using GDi Sharepoint platform

About you: - Proven experience as a Software Engineer and Team Lead - Preferable (not mandatory) a Computer Science Engineer with ML/AI knowledge - Education in mathematics, computer science or similar field - Understanding of data structures, data and database modelling, software architecture, ETL tools, data presentation and visualization structures: reports and dashboards - Ability to write code in Python, C, C++ or C# - Highly analytical with a talent for math and statistics - Nice to have: experience with optimization algorithms and problems If you are a problem solver and a critical thinker, with a passion for data analysis, machine-learning and research, we would like to meet you.
