https://www.meduniwien.ac.at/hp/herzchirurgie/Spitalgasse 23, 1090 ViennaThe Christian Doppler Laboratory for Microinvasive Cardiac Surgery at the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Medical University of Vienna, is offering a Post Doc position (m/f/d) with (bio)medical engineering or biotechnological background to join our interdisciplinary team consisting of cardiac surgeons and scientists (biology and biomedical engineering). Our aim is to refine surgical instruments and apply visualization tools to develop microinvasive cardiac surgery procedures for revascularization, valve replacement and repair. Research focus is set on tissue analysis and fluid dynamics of ex vivo bench studies of heart valves and in vivo feasibility studies of medical devices in large animal models.
