- Organization, planning and conducting in vitro, in vivo (large animal) and ex vivo experiments in cardiac surgery - Research in medicine and medical devices technology and biomedical research - Documentation, analysis and processing of project-specific data - Preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication - Supervision of doctorial/diploma students and research technicians

Potrebno obrazovanje, znanja i vještine

- Completed PhD in the field of medicine, biomedical engineering or biomedical studies or similar - Experience in tissue preparation, hydrodynamic test benches, fluid dynamics, large animal studies - Prior knowledge in cardiac imaging (echocardiography, videoscopy) and medical devices development is advantageous - Flexibility and motivation to work in a team - High level of commitment and reliability - Excellent spoken and written English skills

Our aim is to refine surgical instruments and apply visualization tools to develop microinvasive cardiac surgery procedures for revascularization, valve replacement and repair. Research focus is set on tissue analysis and fluid dynamics of ex vivo bench studies of heart valves and in vivo feasibility studies of medical devices in large animal models.
