Role and Responsibilities: - To lead/supervise crewing operation team and provide advice on all crewing matters to ensure that efficient planning and deployment of crew change are arranged. - Manage the development and career progression of sea staff by facilitating regular review of appraisals process and work on all possible methods to build-up loyalty/retention of sea staff. - Improve retention rate and rotation planning for senior officers. - Encourage high standards of performance through training and motivation. - Ensure the highest level of crew management performance excellence in accordance with STCW, oil major, flag state requirements and meeting the high crewing standards of Thome Group. - Be part of the Thome Group Crewing Management Team and form part of the applicable Thome Ship Management Operations Management Team. - Monitor the Vetting performance of the fleet and prepare for vetting in close liaison with in-house Marine, Operations & Technical Departments. - Implement and manage terms and conditions, compensation, benefits and rewards for sea staff benchmarking with the market trends based on past studies and expected growth. - Strategize the placement of sea staff on designated vessels based on the relief program, officers rotation plan and leave days. Supervise the planning of necessary logistics for crew change, maintain cost effectiveness. - Liaise/negotiate with maritime union for matters related to Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), wages, compensation and benefits for sea staff. Maintain relationship with Unions and relevant authorities. - Participate in office audits related to compliance with Class, Flag State and Oil majors. - Ensure systems/processes are maintained and followed-up to avoid any findings or non-conformities. - Define and drive the overall long term business strategy for crew recruitment, engage in business process optimization. - Be responsible for setting recruitment standards and cross functional coordination, improve recruitment processes. - Encourage and motivate sea staff through company seminars and value based trainings. - Review and follow up on appraisal/evaluation process. - Conduct Business intelligence and analysis, drive and conduct benchmarking exercises aimed at continuous improvements. - Gather information on the market trends at regular intervals and update the management on the manning requirements/forecast, based on past studies and expected growth. Provide reports to management on recruitment activities and strategy as well as to communicate internally. - Preparation of crewing budget in consultation with the team and accountable for crewing related expenses. - Ensure all the sea staff and team members adhere to Thome policies, SMS and HSSE requirements. - Set up manning teams and attend to recruitment drives based on present and future manning requirements. - Carry out affiliate office and manning agency audits at regular intervals, monitor the terms and conditions/contracts for the supply of seafarers. - Influence the manning agent setup to match the overall recruitment strategy.

Experience: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in crewing operation. Education: - University Degree or Maritime College/Diploma within related field.
