We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Custom Thermal Engineering team in Zagreb, Croatia!
This position is responsible for Air Handling Unit (AHU) mechanical design. It is preferable to possess knowledge of refrigeration and ventilation units, with emphasis on structural components used in their design and manufacturing.
Besides technical knowledge, Mechanical Engineer in Custom Thermal Engineering should have good communication skills, because the position requires communication with other discipline designers, other departments inside the company, and with external parties.
This position should be familiar with software applications used in mechanical design of AHU units.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Design mechanical solutions for AHU units (structural components and internal mechanical assemblies)
- Create 3D models and parts used for production of AHU units
- Create detailed 2D drawings and specifications
- Prepare drawings for manipulation, lifting and transportation
- Create and check Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Read and understand requirements for new solution products
- Prepare mechanical design submittal packages
- Support Sales teams with technical details, drawings and cost estimations
- Support Manufacturing teams during production of AHU units
- Work on tasks inside multidisciplinary team of people (Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical Engineers)
- Take care of product quality
- Communication with mechanical equipment suppliers
- Engineer solutions with optimized price and performance

Potrebno obrazovanje, znanja i vještine
- At least 5 years of previous working experience on similar job descriptions (Mechanical Design Engineer)
- Masters in Mechanical Engineering required
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, PTC Creo, AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar software’s
- Familiarity with work in PLM systems (Oracle PD Cloud, PTC Windchill)
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills (English and Croatian required)
- Good understanding of thermal products (air handling units, piping and refrigeration systems, etc.)
- A high level of motivation
- Accuracy in work, results-oriented mindset, professional demeanor in all tasks
- English minimum B2 level
