Crew Assistant shall assist the Marine HR Team in matters manning, joining, planning issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit and screen applicants and nominations according to the Crew Selection Criteria
- Arrange and coordinate travel plans for officers and crew signing on and off, in collaboration with the Crewing Executive, Masters and Port Agents
- Verify crew qualifications and documentation prior to joining
- Ensure crew compliance with the STCW and in-house training matrix
- Maintain COMPAS system up to date for all seafarers under their responsibility
- Update marine personnel files and office computer records as necessary
- Manage all documentation, administration, and deployment of crew
- Stay in contact with officers on vacation as applicable
- Monitor crew P&I and or medical claim documentation
- Check the validity of travel documents and visa, and handle visa processes
- Manage flag required certification
- Arrange Pre-Employment Medical Examination
- Ensure compliance with MLC 2006 standards
- Manage Flag State applications
