The role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Automotive Workshop Manager to oversee the operations of our new in-house workshop in Munich. The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, establish repair priorities, manage spare parts and stocks, and maintain budgetary control, all while upholding high standards of quality and safety.
What will you work on?
Team Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and adhere to company standards
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Workshop Operations:
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee campervan repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
- Monitor stock levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and negotiate cost-effective purchasing agreements
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cost-control measures
Budget and Reporting:
- Track and report on workshop performance metrics, including repair turnaround times and budget adherence
- Propose improvements in processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
