Opis posla
We're looking for an experienced Linux sysadmin ready to own our infrastructure - someone with strong opinions about uptime, who automates before being asked, and treats a clean Ansible playbook with the same respect a developer gives clean code.
What you'll be doing:
- Administer, tune, and maintain high-availability PostgreSQL and Redis clusters - replication, failover, backups, and performance
- Deploy and operate RabbitMQ and/or Kafka - setup, maintenance, and availability monitoring
- Day-to-day maintenance of Debian-based servers: packages, systemd services, security hardening, user and permission management
- Design and run reliable backup strategies with off-site replication; own recovery testing so restores are never a surprise
- Write and maintain Ansible playbooks and CI/CD pipeline scripts; reduce manual toil through repeatable, version-controlled configuration
- Own the observability stack - dashboards, alert rules, and on-call runbooks so problems are caught before users notice
- Configure and maintain HAProxy for load balancing and high-availability service routing
- Manage network fundamentals - firewalls, VPN, DNS, load balancers
- Participate in deployment workflows, container operations, and developer tooling; bridge the gap between ops and engineering

What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of professional Linux systems administration in production environments
- Proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in clustered, high-availability configurations
- Practical knowledge of RabbitMQ or Kafka administration and day-to-day operation
- Good Debian skills - packages, systemd, networking, security hardening
- Knowledge in HAProxy - load balancing, ACLs, health checks, and SSL termination
- Experience writing Ansible playbooks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager or similar)
- Comfortable scripting in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and operational tasks
- Able to collaborate with developers and contribute meaningfully to DevOps workflows
- Clear written and spoken English - Croatian is a big plus
Technologies you'll work with: Debian Linux, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, HAProxy, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Bash / Shell, Git / GitLab.
Nice to have:
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions pipelines
- Experience with log aggregation stacks (ELK / fluentbit / fluentd)
- Background in IoT, fleet tech, or high-availability service environments
