The position will report directly into the CFO EMEA, based in Frankfurt, Germany. The EMEA region has over 25 entities with 6 different currencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day general ledger accounting tasks, such as for example Deferred Revenues, Inventories, Fixed Assets and all Balance Sheet Reconciliations for the entities in the EMEA region
- Working closely with country accountants on monthly and annual financial closing
- Reviewing EMEA entities’ monthly Balance Sheet alongside with the reconciliations for accuracy, compliance and completeness
- Identifying and supporting resolution of complex and unusual transactions
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
- Assisting the statutory audit process with the external audit firm to ensure audit requests provided for any general ledger item are accurate and are provided for in a timely manner
- Assisting in implementing systems, and processes to automate and/ or streamline existing processes
- Assisting with miscellaneous projects as requested
