Key Responsibilities
Office:
- Operating GIS software ArcGIS and QGIS
- Operating remote sensing software such as Pix4D, Bently
- Maintaining complex data on GIS projects including images, raster and other spatial data
- Keeping accurate records of your tasks and time spent on projects
- Clear and timely communication with other team members
Fieldwork:
- International travel by air and driving
- Working outside on your feet for a full working day
- Carrying equipment such as survey pole and rucksack
- Operating camera and survey equipment
- Operating drones and planning drone missions

Requirements
Personal:
CampMap is an international company and our business language is English, you must have good professional working proficiency in English and be comfortable communicating and working with people of different nationalities.
- Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Good communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Comfortable with responsibility and delivering projects on your own
- Strong problem solving, creative thinking and analytical skills
- Stay up to date with GIS technology and provide input to the team on new ideas
- Help support and mentor junior members of the team and share your experience
Technical:
This is a highly technical role and although you will be supported and trained by CampMap to fulfil your responsibilities, you must bring a good technical base of skills and knowledge from the GIS or Civil Engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of spatial data types, how they are created, used and maintained.
- Knowledge of coordinate reference systems and transformations.
- Knowledge of drones and survey equipment such as GNSS and data capture software.
- Experience using ArcGIS or QGIS, ideally both.
- Experience using Pix4D or Bently is a bonus.
- Experience digitising and editing spatial data.
- Experience flying drones and operating survey equipment is a bonus.
- Knowledge and experience of programming in python is a bonus.
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in GIS, Geography or Civil Engineering or similar subjects (with working experience this may not be required).
- Driving License.
- Drone operator license is a bonus.
