Operations Assistant (m/f)

As an Operations Assistant, you will be at the heart of the action, coordinating vessel calls, supporting seamless passenger flow, and ensuring every cruise visit runs like clockwork. What You'll Do: - Lead and oversee daily terminal operations, ensuring smooth vessel arrivals, departures, embarkation, and disembarkation - Coordinate closely with Port Agents, Pilots, Port Authority, Border Police, Customs, and other key stakeholders - Act as a terminal host – welcoming ship officers and contributing to an outstanding guest experience - Ensure compliance with port regulations, ISPS standards, safety procedures, and operational requirements - Coordinate security, facility, and cleaning services to keep the terminal running efficiently - Support emergency preparedness and respond proactively to operational challenges - Maintain accurate operational data, prepare reports, and support the Management Team - Contribute to the port's brand presence through marketing and social media support Location: Zadar Cruise Port – Putnička luka Gaženica, Zadar, Croatia Employment period: 01 May – 31 October 2026

What You Bring: - Diploma in Hospitality, Operations Management, Maritime Studies, or related field - Strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills - Proficiency in MS Office and fluency in English (additional languages are a plus) - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment - Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and teamwork - Previous cruise ship, port, or hospitality experience is an advantage - Based in Zadar or the immediate surrounding area - Valid residence and work permit in Croatia required
