WHITELY is currently preparing for authorization under Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) and remains committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance, security, and transparency. We're in search of Compliance Officer! Responsibilities: - Regulatory & Licensing - Lead compliance function during MiCA licensing process - Coordinate preparation of compliance documentation for regulator - Act as primary contact person for regulatory communication - Internal Compliance Framework Develop and implement: - Compliance Monitoring Programme - Risk Assessment methodology - Regulatory reporting processes - Ensure alignment of internal policies with MiCA and EU AML framework - Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact Ongoing Compliance Oversight - Monitor operational compliance with: - AML/KYC procedures - Market abuse prevention measures - Custody and safeguarding rules - Prepare compliance reports for management and Directors - Conduct internal compliance reviews and gap analyses Training & Culture: - Organize compliance trainings for employees - Promote compliance culture within organization

Requirements: - Education & Professional Background - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or related field - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in compliance / AML / regulatory roles - Experience in financial institutions, fintech, crypto exchange or VASP/CASP environment - Proven knowledge of EU regulatory framework (MiCA, AMLD5/AMLD6, TFR, GDPR) Regulatory & Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of: - MiCA Regulation (EU 2023/1114) - EU AML Directives - Travel Rule requirements - Risk-based compliance frameworks - Experience interacting with EU regulators or preparing licensing documentation - Ability to draft internal compliance policies and procedures - Understanding of governance and internal control systems under MiCA (incl. conflicts of interest, complaints handling, outsourcing, remuneration policies) - Understanding of prudential requirements for CASPs - Familiarity with EBA/ESMA guidelines and Q&A Skills: - Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills - Policy drafting and documentation skills - Experience building compliance processes from scratch - Ability to operate independently and report to Directors - Experience in regulatory gap analysis Personal Qualities: - High integrity and independence - Strong ethical judgment - Detail-oriented and structured
