Key responsibilities:
Legal Compliance & Documentation:
- Draft, update, and ensure company policies comply with relevant local and international laws, particularly within personnel management, payroll, and HR-related areas
- Regularly monitor and review company acts, policies, and internal documents to ensure they are legally compliant
- Provide expert legal opinions on various internal and external policies impacting company operations
Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ethical standards, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering (AML), and other regulatory frameworks
- Conduct compliance audits and checks across departments to monitor adherence to corporate policies
- Develop, maintain, and implement internal compliance policies, procedures, and programs to mitigate legal risks
Sanction List Checks:
- Conduct detailed checks against global sanctions lists (e.g., OFAC, UN, EU) to ensure compliance with trade laws and restrictions
- Regularly update and monitor sanctions lists, assessing risks and providing recommendations
Governance & Decision-Making:
- Implement decisions from the company’s governing bodies in alignment with corporate objectives and legal requirements
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and resolutions for governing body meetings, maintaining thorough records of decisions
Legal Advisory & Support:
- Offer legal support to all departments, with a special focus on HR, payroll, personnel management, and worker selection processes
- Advise on complex business transactions, agreements, and matters related to corporate governance
Training & Development:
- Plan and conduct legal and compliance training sessions to increase company-wide awareness and ensure best practices
- Support employee evaluations, encouraging professional growth and development
