JavaScript Developer (m/f)

Coadria is looking for a new member in a growing team of talented people focused on the implementation of software and web solutions that meet the needs of our partner - Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Job summary: The JavaScript developer is responsible for the implementation of software and web solutions that meet the business needs of Dickey's Barbecue. The position works with both a team of other programmers as well as other departments in the organization in order to create software products of varying requirements and target audiences against tight deadlines. Reporting to the Senior Developer, the successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to facilitate multiple projects within the company at a given time. The candidate will also be able to work independently while striving in a team environment. Functions & Responsibilities: - Works with other developers and analysts to design, develop and implement JavaScript web-based software that facilitates solutions for the business and attracts guests. - Uses sound software engineering and modern principles to ensure that developed code is maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure, fault tolerant and of high quality. - Collaborates with developers, analysts, and product owners to analyze, design and implement functionality in software products based on gathered business requirements. - Ability to find bugs or undesired behavior in existing software systems. - Perform maintenance tasks as needed. - Testing code written by any team member, as well as its integration with existing systems, to prevent possible system failure and downtime. - Actively participates in discussions with the rest of the team to suggest new solutions or improve on existing solutions. - Reviews programming support tickets for possible bug reports and user support.

Competencies: - Knowledge of and experience with fundamental web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. - Knowledge of and experience with modern front end development concepts, such as AJAX, REST, JSON and the use of APIs. - Knowledge of modern programming best practices. - Knowledge of and experience with development for iOS or Android is a big plus. - Knowledge of and experience with React, Relay and GraphQL and their associated best practices and methods is a big plus. - Knowledge of and basic experience with version control systems, preferably Git. - Knowledge of software architecture patterns such as MVC or derivatives. - Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and jQuery UI strongly preferred. - Experience with front end frameworks such as React or Angular strongly preferred. - Experience with Node.js and the associated ecosystem, such as NPM, Gulp, Webpack and Babel strongly preferred. - Experience with the syntax and design practices of ES6 or ES7 would be very helpful. - Experience with SQL, especially MySQL or PostgreSQL, is desired. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and explain abstract concepts. - Ability to manage time well and complete deadlines. - Being a self-starter and able to work effectively without constant supervision.
