The Geomatics Lead plans, directs and coordinates the survey team’s output to ensure successful delivery of topographic surveys to support design projects as well as design layouts (staking) for construction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate survey projects with design teams & other staff
- Review & manage all internal CAD landbases prior to client submission
- Monitor project risk weekly (scope, hours & schedule)
- Report project status; highlight risks & mitigating actions
- Mentor, coach & motivate team members to achieve objectives; provide guidance/direction to Survey Technicians
- Direct the preparation of survey plans, research & permitting activities
- Provide training on survey processes, proper techniques, equipment use and health & safety
