Country Compliance Officer (m/f)

Job Purpose: - help the LOC to grow as a patient focused sustainable business. Drive the LOC to make Values-based decisions - ensure that as the LOC carries out its strategy and objectives, that it can spot and manage any risks that may arise Key Responsibilities: - understand business strategy and objectives - act as a strategic advisor and partner with the business to develop compliant solutions - champion of the Global Ethics and Complaince function by promoting the added value brought by the function - coach relevant staff on the Values and Expectations of our Company - development and oversight of direct reports in the local company - implementation of compliance programs by translating global requirements into local specifications, including any relevant training - design and ensure implementation of the Internal Control Framework that enables risk oversight and effective controls - act as a change leader for cutting edge practices and standardisation, where appropriate, to simplify the complexity of our practices - promote a Values-based culture through encouragement of, among other things, Speak Up - engage with external parties to promote and defend GSK’s industry ethical lead and shape the external environment - partner with the business to develop and oversee completion of CAPAs resulting from investigations, monitoring, audits or inspections - oversee investigations and manage stakeholders - as a key member of Risk Management and Compliance Board and Country Executive Board, encourage discussion of relevant, significant risks and ensure that issues and conclusions are escalated upwards and consistently across the market - participate in Global Ethics and Complance initiatives/working streams

- extensive knowledge & experience with legal requirements, compliance programs and processes - demonstrated effective risk management, process improvement, and/or project management skills - experience in writing reports to senior level - project management skills to drive multiple initiatives across multiple departments simultaneously - track record in providing high degree of self-reliance, accountability, and value-added consultation/support to senior business managers and other support functions. - strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organisation to work in accordance with company values - ability to work effectively and sensitively in a highly matrixes organisation - ability to maintain confidentiality and trust around sensitive compliance issues Preferred Experience: Working at a management level in a compliance/governance role in a highly regulated industry or external audit with experience of auditing Pharmaceutical industry.
