Senior Java Developer (m/f)

Due to a recent increase of business we are searching for motivated, skilled and diligent person for the position of Senior Java Developer (m/f). Essential Functions of the Role: - designing, developing and deploying scalable product architecture using Java, working in a dynamic team environment. - involvement in all aspects of product development, from product/solution definition to product release - designing, implementing, testing and integrating JAVA code - participating in architecture, design and code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards and best practices. - collaborating closely with project management for creation of realistic project plans and supporting project team with defining detailed work packages - you will be supported by team members who share the same care for the product as you do

Qualifications: - degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience - minimum 3 years (preferably 5+) experience in JAVA project development required - 3+ years as a technical lead in a web environment is preferred - experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum - experience with source control (SVN), issue tracking (JIRA), unit testing framework, continuous integration (Jenkins) is highly preferred - good command of the English language Technical competences: - an excellent Java programming knowledge - proficiency with Eclipse development environment - very good understanding of Object-Oriented design concepts and design patterns - solid understanding of data structures and algorithms - solid understanding of Web services development (SOAP, REST) - knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript Personal competences/characteristics: - strong affinity for teamwork, collaboration and supporting others - good communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels - strong analytical & problem-solving skills - good planning and self-management skills - enthusiastic, self-motivated, affinity to learn and constantly improve
