Java UI/UX Specialist (m/f)

Due to the increase of business we are looking for motivated, skilful and persistent person for the position of: Java UI/UX Specialist (m/f). Essential Functions of the Role: - designing, developing and deploying scalable product architecture using Java, in dynamic team environment, with a main focus on user interfaces, user interaction with the system, and overall user experience of our products and solutions - collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts for requirements analysis and interpreting end-user requirements - conversion of user requirements to UI design, development of prototypes and review/confirmation of the design/prototypes with stakeholders - UI implementation in accordance with guidelines and internal standards - module-testing and support with integration (front-end & back-end) and system/acceptance testing. - development of internal standards and guidelines for UI design and implementation - you will be supported by team members who share the same care for the product as you do

Qualifications: - degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience - 3+ years full life cycle development JAVA project and development experience is minimally required - proven and demonstrable strong expertise in UI design, development and relevant testing methodologies in JAVA/Web environment. Minimum of 3 years required, 5+ years is preferred - solid understanding of UX concepts and experience in the field is highly desirable - experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum - experience with source control (SVN), issue tracking (JIRA), unit testing framework, continuous integration (Jenkins) is highly desired - good command of the English language Technical competences: - excellent Java programming knowledge - proficiency with Eclipse development environment - knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript - knowledge of VAADIN, JSF and/or Primefaces is highly preferable - good visual design skills - knowledge of relational database / SQL is preferable Personal competences/characteristics: - flair for designing and developing highly-functional and attractive user interfaces - strong affinity for teamwork, collaboration and supporting others - good communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels - strong analytical & problem-solving skills - good planning and self-management skills - enthusiastic, self-motivated, affinity to learn and constantly improve
