Water database expert - informatička podrška u sektoru vodnog gospodarstva (m/ž)

In the framework of EU-CARDS Project 'Approximation of Croatian water management legislation with the EU water acquis', we are looking for a short-term local expert on development and maintenance of Water Management Databases. To support the Project activities, tasks of the local expert shall include: - inventory of drinking water and waste water infrastructure, - database of treated waste water recipients and their characteristics - GIS maps and layers prepared for the analysis and reporting purposes - training to administration for up-grading of the database after the completion of the project The Expert reports to the International Team Leader of the project. The local expert will be involved in computer assisted applications. In co-operation with an international UWWT expert, will establish an inventory of drinking water and waste water infrastructure, database of treated waste water recipients and their characteristics (e.g. sensitive areas etc.) and facilitate a support of the proposed action plan by this database.

The candidate should have: - at least 10 years of relevant practical experience - extensive knowledge in establishing digital infrastructure cadastre, preferably in the area of drinking water, waste water collection; waste water treatment inventories - experience with GIS maps and layers - knowledge of GIS techniques and applications, including preparation/interpretation of environmental maps and layers - experience in information management, IT-enabling and decision support systems - experience in providing related trainings.
