Oil rig technician (m/f)

Our company has new projects in Belgium and we`re hiring 3 workers on position: Oil rig technician (m/f). Job Purpose: The Service Technician is responsible working under supervision, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Equipment Installation and Maintenance: - Under supervision, Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanicalequipment on oil and gas rigs - Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance of rig machinery - Ensure that all rig equipment is operating at optimal efficiency and in compliance with safety regulations Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: - Support supervisors on mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and software. - Have performed maintenance of critical rig systems Technical Support and Training: - Provide on-site technical support to rig personnel and assist in the troubleshooting and repair of rig systems Documentation and Reporting: - Complete detailed service reports documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replaced - Ensure that all work is completed according to company and regulatory safety guidelines Safety and Compliance: - Follow safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Participate in regular safety drills and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations on-site - Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper safety documentation is maintained Communication: - Communicate with rig crew, supervisors, and off-site engineering teams to ensure smooth operations Inventory and Spare Parts Management: - Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables necessary for the maintenanc and repair of equipment Travel and Work Conditions: - Be available for field assignments, which may involve travel to various rig locations, including offshore platforms Work as required by rig schedules and operational needs. Base Location: Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.

Experience: At least 3 years on Offshore rigs with experience on rigging of lifts. Language Proficiency: Fluent English. Skills & Competencies: - Ability to read, understand, and implement company/project-specific policies, procedures, and working practices - Strong understanding of LOLER regulations (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and adherence to safety standards - Ability to complete rigging/erection tasks according to work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and technical drawings/sketches - Competency in understanding and developing lifting plans for safe and efficient rigging operations - Willingness and ability to support other trades/disciplines or work as part of an integrated multidiscipline team - Experience in raising and managing Permit to Work (PTW) documentation to ensure tasks are carried out safely and in a controlled manner - Capability to undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to ensure the safe completion of work scopes - Proficiency in the inspection, service, repair, and testing of rigging and lifting equipment Relevant Certifications and Training: - Banksman/Slinger Certificate - BOSIET/FOET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) - Approved Offshore Medical Preferred Qualifications: OPITO Rigging Assessment.
