Mechanical Designer (m/f)

Working in a project orientated environment, you’ll report to the Engineering Manager and be involved in all aspects of mechanical engineering, throughout the whole project cycle from concept through to installation. You will ensure that concept designs are converted to successful automation solutions on time and to budget. Key Responsibilities include - Mechanical concepting of robotic automation equipment - Detailed design - Design verification and calculations - Project responsibilities, include customer liaison, design review meetings, specification of bought-in parts, BOM production for purchasing - Risk assessment, CE marking and documentation responsibilities - Providing technical guidance and support to the System Build and Controls teams

Proven experience of mechanical concepting/design is essential, and experience in the design of automation equipment is advantageous. You must be able to come up with innovative but practical design ideas to solve engineering problems whilst at the same time meeting customer requirements, change requests and budget constraints. Knowledge of robotic handling applications would also be advantageous. A Mechanical Engineering degree is essential along with proven 3D CAD experience, preferably with AutoCAD Inventor.
