The role can be based in one of our three offices: Zagreb, Croatia; Port Elizabeth, South Africa; or Cape Town, South Africa.
The Financial Analyst, Global FP&A will sit at the center of IRONMAN’s post-implementation FP&A modernization agenda. This person will help build, stabilize, and continuously improve our Adaptive Planning ecosystem, serving as a technical power user and thought partner across global planning, forecasting, reporting, and scenario analysis.
We are looking for someone who is highly technical, systems-oriented, and naturally curious - the kind of person who wants to understand not just what the number is, but how it flows through the model, how it ties to source data, where the process breaks, and how to make it better. The ideal candidate will have strong FP&A fundamentals, deep comfort working in planning systems, and the ability to translate complex models and data structures into practical business insight.
This role is initially focused on helping us fully leverage Adaptive Planning: building reports, maintaining models, improving workflows, supporting planning cycles, validating outputs, and partnering with regional finance teams to increase adoption. Over time, the role will stretch beyond systems execution into broader strategic finance support, including scenario modelling, performance analysis, executive reporting, and long-range planning.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Step into a role where no two days are the same, and your impact is felt far beyond your desk.
You will:
Adaptive Planning & FP&A Systems Ownership
- Serve as a key Adaptive Planning power user for the Global FP&A team, helping administer, maintain, and enhance the planning environment following implementation.
- Support the build-out of IRONMAN’s post-Adaptive implementation ecosystem, including driver-based models, forecast templates, reporting packages, dashboards, workflows, and planning processes.
- Partner with Global FP&A, Regional Finance, Tech, and Accounting to improve model design, data flows, system logic, and reporting usability.
- Troubleshoot model issues, data mapping gaps, formula logic, versioning questions, integration challenges, and user adoption pain points.
- Build scalable reporting and planning solutions that reduce manual Excel work, improve transparency, and create a stronger foundation for self-service FP&A.
Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Support global planning cycles, including Budget, Forecast, and Long-Range Plan, by helping manage assumptions, templates, reporting outputs, scenario models, and consolidation processes.
- Work with regional and cross-functional teams to ensure planning inputs are complete, accurate, and aligned with global FP&A standards.
- Help develop and maintain driver-based models that better connect financial outcomes to operational performance across events, regions, revenue streams, and cost structures.
- Analyze forecast variances, risks and opportunities, and key business drivers to support leadership decision-making.
- Assist in building more automated, repeatable monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including executive summaries, variance analysis, and forecast bridges.
Data, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen FP&A processes across planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Partner with Tech/Data teams to improve data structures, source-system alignment, reporting definitions, and integration readiness.
- Support the evolution of reporting in Adaptive, Power BI, Excel, and other tools by ensuring consistency of definitions, logic, and outputs.
- Help establish planning standards, documentation, user guides, controls, and governance processes to support long-term system scalability.
- Act as a bridge between technical model design and practical business usage, helping finance and business partners better understand and trust the numbers.
Strategic Finance Support
- Over time, stretch into broader strategic finance work, including scenario planning, investment analysis, pricing support, business case development, and long-range financial modeling.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Support high-priority initiatives that require structured thinking, strong modeling, and the ability to connect system outputs to business decisions.
- Help Global FP&A move from reporting what happened to explaining why it happened, what it means, and what actions should follow.
