Education Requirements:
Completion of high school/secondary education required
Experience:
A minimum of three years' experience in administrative, secretarial, protocol, event management, or public relations.
Language:
English: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate (will be tested)
Croatian: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate
Job Knowledge:
Good knowledge of host government protocol guidelines, general etiquette, and social mores of the host country. Knowledge of local customs, traditions, and protocol practices. Awareness of how the political structure of the host government and their U.S. relationship affect protocol affairs.
Skills And Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Familiarity with organizing and coordinating events, including logistics, scheduling, and execution of formal functions and ceremonies. Good written and spoken communication skills. Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Publisher. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, establish priorities, and work under pressure. Discretion and the ability to handle the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
