Python GIS Developer (m/ž)

We're seeking a reliable GIS Developer to grow with our team. This dedicated role blends data processing and analytics with software development. As a key member of our development team, you will collaborate on projects ranging from innovative environmental modelling frameworks to continental-scale data platforms. What you'll do: - Collaborate with teammates to design, build and maintain end-to-end geospatial solutions - Utilize the open-source GIS ecosystem to develop geospatial data tools, pipelines and platforms - Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver solutions effectively - Implement data science techniques to produce meaningful analytics - Work closely with the company’s development workflow and contribute to internal tooling

What we’re looking for: - 3+ years of practical experience working with geospatial data using the open source GIS software ecosystem (QGIS, GRASS, GDAL…) - Proficient in data manipulation and statistical analysis using the Python GIS ecosystem (GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, NumPy…) - Deep understanding of geospatial libraries and data formats - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities - Ability to work independently and excel at communicating technical solutions - Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in geoinformatics, geodesy, geography, computer science or a closely related area - Fluency in technical English (specific to GIS) Bonus points: - Experience with Web GIS software development (using FastAPI/Django, OpenLayers, Vue.js or equivalent) - Experience with utilizing the Python machine learning ecosystem (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch) in a geospatial context - Experience with building and maintaining containerized environments for geospatial applications - Familiarity with PostGIS - Cloud platform experience
