We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Junior Accountant (m/f) based in our Zagreb office.
The Opportunity:
The Junior Accountant DACCH is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting activities of our DACCH entities (Germany, Switzerland, Croatia and Austria), ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions in line with company policies and applicable tax regulations. The role covers Accounts Payable and Receivable, invoice processing, account reconciliations, collections, payment preparation, and travel expense reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive, strategic marketing plans which successfully meet volume and profitability targets and manage their implementation.
- Manage a country-specific marketing budget.
- Plan and facilitate media buying and creative development for traditional media in addition to digital advertising and new media placements.
- Forge partnerships with local stakeholders including media, federations, sponsors and industry peers.
- Participate in host city stakeholder management, facilitate associated marketing obligations and support Operations team with community liaison and communications.

- Day-to-day accounting for our DACCH entities, including but not limited to:
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and processing changes in General Ledger accounts, in accordance with company accounting policies, and applicable tax regulations
- Ensuring accurate posting of incoming and outgoing invoices (accounts, cost centers, VAT)
- Reconciliation of customer accounts; follow-up and management of receivables and collections
- Participating in the preparation of weekly payments according to the cash forecast, including reviewing and posting payment transactions
- Review of travel expense reports
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure synergy and process efficiency
- Supporting the preparation of internal monthly reporting, including journal corrections, accruals, and account analysis
