Managing Director (m/f)

On behalf of an internationally connected organization based in Zagreb, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and future-oriented Managing Director (m/f/d). This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for the strategic, operational, and cultural development of the local entity. The position is suited for a senior leader who thrives in transformation environments, inspires people, and builds high-performing organizations through clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the site in Zagreb - Drive organizational development with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, transparency, and sustainable performance - Lead and develop the local leadership team; foster a culture of ownership, empowerment, and accountability - Translate strategic objectives into clear priorities, measurable targets, and effective execution - Ensure continuous improvement is embedded in daily operations and management routines - Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and alignment across all levels of the organization - Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and corporate governance requirements - Act as a credible and visible leader internally and represent the organization externally

Your profile: - University degree in engineering, business, or a comparable discipline - Proven experience in a senior general management, operations, or site leadership role - Strong track record in leading organizations through change, transformation, or modernization initiatives - Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements with measurable outcomes - Solid understanding of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and effective management systems - Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability - Inspiring, people-oriented leadership style combined with hands-on execution capability - Strong communication skills and the ability to create alignment and commitment across the organization - High resilience, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset
