The EMEA Offering Manager for Vertiv’s Custom Thermal product line provides subject matter expertise and market knowledge for Data Centers applications. This includes Chilled Water, Direct and Indirect Evaporative Condensers, and Direct Expansion custom market and product portfolio. The Offering Manager understands the market globally, the competitive landscape, and the technical details of the product. The Offering Manager works with the Manager/Director on the roadmaps and supports the execution through the product development process.
The EMEA Custom Thermal Offering Manager is responsible for providing offering management leadership to drive growth and profitability of Veritiv’s Custom Thermal product line designed and built in EMEA. The Offering Manager will work with the EMEA Custom Thermal Engineering team to ensure alignment with Customer requirements for bespoke equipment, as well as identifying and driving VAVE programs for the custom projects. The Offering Manager will work across the organization with key customers, sales teams, and regional stake holders. In this role, the Offering Manager will interface with factory Operations leadership to align customer needs with plant capacity and capabilities. This position will also identify and quantify the market applications and opportunities, develop roadmaps, and work with cross functional teams to execute the roadmap through New Product Development Engineer to Order (ETO) process.
Responsabilities:
- Analyze market and competitive landscape for Datacenter and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Air Handling Solutions, including strengths, deficiencies, customer needs, and market pricing
- Create and maintain business case for each product line project
- Work with Finance, Sales, Engineering, and Operations to maintain financial views of the Product Line project and products
- Establish pricing based upon market value and profitability goals
- Manage product line profitability and volume forecasts, including monitoring of Variable Contribution Margin and driving cost reduction and value-add activities
- Promote custom air handling abilities with other Vertiv product and engineering teams, Vertiv Sales, and customers, where standard product does not fit application opportunities
- In partnership with the Sales team, design and execute strategies focused on increasing sales and market share
- Assist in championing resolution of offering issues (i.e., delivery, quality, inventory)
- Contribute to the global portfolio product strategy and go-to-market plans
- Manage ETO-C / custom sales’ projects and provide support to regional Offering Teams and Sales for quotation, technical support, special performances selections and follow up the projects during the different phases including management of witness tests
- Provide support to the Sales and Application Engineering team in communicating with factories to obtain information related to the technical characteristics of the products
- Ensure all customer facing offering documentation and marketing collateral is available and accurate
- Manage product life cycles from market launch to discontinuation, effectively communicating the product roadmap to the different stakeholders
- Provide offering information to Customers, Sales, Customer Service and Application Engineering
- Contribute to and approve customer-facing Product Documentation, including user manuals, installation and operation manuals. Provide support to regionalize documents as needed
- Responsible for gathering and documenting Stakeholder Requirements for each Product or Project within the regional product line
- Perform and maintain patent reviews for new offerings. Document data and provide details while interfacing with legal team
- Project Sponsor and interface with Project Management team to approve change requests
- Work with Sales Analytics team to develop KPIs and dashboards to track program success
- Collaborate with Vertiv's Learning & Development team to create and deliver training presentations to Customers, Service, Sales, and Application Engineering personnel
