Presales Thermal Engineer (m/f)

We are currently seeking a Presales Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia! The Presales Thermal Engineer is a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Solutions Specialist is an important part of an interdisciplinary team of technical experts (electrical, structural, architectural) to bring together schematic design for Data center (Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge, CLS) and Critical Infrastructure facilities. Position includes applying theoretical knowledge, practical engineering skills, as well as communicational skills in the fields of Clean Energy, AI and Data center design. What kind of work will you be doing? - Concept design of Data center HVAC systems and architecture, with traditional and AI design requirements, which includes: Direct Expansion, Chilled water, Direct/indirect evaporative cooling, AHU and ventilation design, Liquid cooling (RDHx, Direct-to-chip, Immersion cooling), Energy optimization (PUE, DCIE, CUE and WUE calculations), CFD analysis - Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, controls, fire protection) - Understanding of relevant codes and standards for HVAC equipment and installations - Modular Data center technical solutions and quotations - Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents - Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions

What will make you successful? - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering - 5-7 years of experience - Proficient in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system design - Sizing and specification of HVAC equipment and installations - Basic knowledge of CFD tools and modeling is a bonus - Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architecture and concepts to deployment - PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD - Active English
