Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f)

We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Rugvica, Croatia as Supplier Quality Engineer. Supplier Quality Engineer will help our organization to further develop our supply chain, introduce new suppliers, increase existing supplier performance, and focus on quality of raw materials that are supplied to Rugvica Factory. Responsibilities: Key focused areas: - Ensuring activities related to quality of raw materials from suppliers - Periodical suppliers’ evaluation - Returning back procedure for non-conform material - Communication with suppliers from Quality point of view - PPAP process (Product Part Approval Process) - Responsible for evaluation of new and actual supplier base on VSAC tool (Vertiv supplier Audit Check list) with following of all required activities (planning, managing, performing of VSAC audit on site) - Participation in continuous improvement in various ways Supplier evaluation: - Managing and evaluation of collected data needed for supplier’s evaluation (incoming, process, field) - physical and systematic control in local systems - Managing of quarantine location (non-conform materials due to suppliers’ faults) and goods refusal procedure for non-conform material back to suppliers - Cooperation with all Departments involved on Supply Quality Management (Quality Control, Production, Engineering, purchasing/procurement team) - Preparation of evaluation reports for suppliers for related evaluation period - Creating of actions plans for suppliers due to reason to reduce critical faults and verification of effectiveness for proposed solutions - Communication with suppliers regarding supplied quality, claims - preparation of final claims reports (8D reports, Quality reports) - Preparation and performing External audits (on site) for chosen suppliers - KPI for suppliers monitoring with focus on all activities on improvement and positive results - PPAP activities for "Material Qualifications" - Cost recovery from supplier (Material and Spent time in production) - Participate to management of "Field Claims" , corrective actions, Supplier site visit, Cost recovery New supplier evaluation: - VSAC (Vertiv Supplier Assessment Checklist) management - Performing VSAC audits with Procurement and R&D cooperation (performing of audit plan, complex treatment, preparation, supervision, preparation of final reports, verification of effectiveness of corrective actions) - Preparation of "visit NC follow up" base on summary from supplier visits and evaluations - FAI "First Article Inspection" for new potential supplier (PPAP process) New supplier/components approval: - Coordination of verification and approval process with incoming area (PPAP process) - Cooperation for preparation of time schedule with project leader - Creating and update of documents needed during approval process from Quality point of view - Ensure of performing approval process from quality side - Supervision during approval process + cooperation with incoming control team, Quality plant team, and Engineering - Communication with suppliers regarding detected nonconformities - Reporting to project leader, suppliers, involved areas – departments

Qualifications: - Higher Technical education - Supplier Quality Assurance/ Quality Assurance - Internal auditor ISO 9001 (preferably) - 3 or more years of experience in position where technical competence is required (Quality, Supply Chain of electronics, mechanics and electrotechnics Basic skills: - Good English (verbal and written) - Computer literate - MS Office package (Word, Excel, PPT) - Background in applying statistical tools for process and product development and control (i.e. Gage R&R, Process Capability, Control Plans, SPC, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). - Experienced with problem solving tools and techniques (i.e. 8-D, A3, 5- Whys, DOE, SCAR, Fishbone, Pareto, Six Sigma, ISIR/FAI, PPAP). - Multicultural and Multidiscipline project experience - Independent, responsible and reliable for their scope of work - Highly customer and project delivery focused - Well organized and flexible - Communication skills, analytical approach, problem solving capability, team player - Customer focused - Attitude to listen customers' (internal and external) needs - Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment Time travel required: - 50%
