Scenic Group is the operator of the Scenic and Emerald cruise brands, which are multi-award-winning, world-leading cruise companies that have people and passion at the forefront of everything we do. Within our newly established Ocean HR department, we are looking for a people-driven ‘HR Crewing Team Leader’ who will be part of a team that is responsible for the administration, document compliance and onboarding of all crew and new hires within the deck, technical and hotel departments on the ‘Yachts of Scenic and Emerald Cruises’. Working closely with the global ‘Recruiting’ and ‘Planning’ teams, you will have the opportunity to create a positive and personalised employee experience and impact the new hire journey, from the moment they are hired to every time they join a vessel.
This role requires the successful candidate to:
Oversee the crewing team of HR Coordinators that are responsible for, but not limited the following tasks:
- Administer new hire applications and documentation as well as returning employees
- Set up new employees in the company fleet personnel system and administer existing employees
- Answering employee requests and queries
- Assisting with recruitment administrative duties
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection and onboarding process
- Meet with Recruitment Consultants to ensure new hires are being processed in the most efficient of practices, discuss any candidate challenges and improve ways of working
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business personnel
- Working alongside agencies to administer invoices on time for processing
- Providing company information and job opportunities to potential candidates
- Researching, analyzing, preparing, and presenting hiring and onboarding statistics
- Promote the company’s reputation as the “best place to work”
- Assist other HR Coordinators with the new hire and employee onboarding process
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices in line with Scenic Group guidelines
- Ensure that new hires and crew have all the required migratory and maritime compliance documentation to join a vessel
- Book and confirm flights, hotels and transfers for new hires and employees travelling to join a ship
