Senior Accountant (m/f)

Based in Croatia, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with local regulations and spot-on financial reporting across international operations. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, meticulous, and experienced in managing complex bookkeeping tasks within an international organization. Key Responsibilities: - Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings - Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, CIT, etc.) for the legal entities in Netherlands - Prepare and process payments, expense reports, and bank transactions - Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable - Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting processes - Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities - Collaborate closely with finance and operations teams across regions - Assist with payroll-related accounting and employee expense reimbursements - Continuously review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy

Professional Profile: - Proven experience (5+ years) as a bookkeeper, accountant, or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and regulatory standards - Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Priority- an advantage) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Fluent in English (spoken and written) - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) - Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent qualification is a plus
