We are currently seeking a Product Senior Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia!
This shall work on HVAC development and new products design. Also, he will report to and guide the Lead Engineer or Product Manager to a valid HVAC technical solution and development of new product. This position prepares documentation (diagrams, cooling load calculations, CFD analyses, complex pressure field calculations). Senior Thermal engineer needs to have wide knowledge about relevant European standards and basic knowledge about International and other standards related to overall HVAC design and explore new cooling technologies.
Product Senior Thermal Engineer shall be situated in Product Engineering department located in Zagreb, Croatia. This position will be responsible for the mechanical HVAC design and development of new products and improving existing standardized products. Also, integration of new cooling concepts, technologies, and collaboration with other disciplines is part of the scope. Employee will get to know more regarding high precision cooling units (Liebert) and how to incorporate them into the dedicated project as well as develop new products. Senior Thermal Engineer in Product Engineering will be part of team of engineers with knowledge in various disciplines.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Developing of products conceptual and detailed design
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of mechanical project documentation: heat load, ventilation, pressurization and noise calculations, CFD analysis, layouts, detail drawings, descriptions, schedules, instructions, material submittals, presentations and marketing materials etc.
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project or product tasks
- Participating in kick-off meeting, regular product team meetings, possibly client meetings and on-site coordination meetings
- Reporting project status to Lead Engineer and Product Manager
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during product development or project execution
- Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
- Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
- Verification and approval of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
- Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Participation on internal testing and FAT
- Performing calculations for optimal components selection
- Analyzing application of new technologies
- Review and approval of outsourced mechanical design documentation
- Approve or reject technically received supplier offer
- Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation
