The HR Generalist, Operations provides comprehensive HR support to production teams, ensuring full compliance with labor legislation, health & safety requirements, and internal policies. This role partners closely with Operations leadership to support recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for production roles, including collaboration with leaders to define staffing needs, required competencies, and shift coverage
- Organize and execute onboarding for production employees, ensuring compliance
- Support workforce planning activities related to seasonal peaks, temporary workers, and shift adjustments
- Maintain accurate and up to date employee files in accordance with GDPR, Croatian labor legislation, and internal audit standards
- Ensure compliance with obligations towards external institutions (e.g., HZZO, HZMO), especially for high-volume production changes
- Conduct annual Code of Conduct, Cybersecurity training for shopfloor employees
- Administer employee benefits and support payroll-related data collection
- Support the implementation and communication of Total Rewards programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and non-monetary benefits.
- Assist in compensation benchmarking and salary review processes
- Manage leave of absence processes (e.g., sick leave, maternity/paternity leave) and ensure legal compliance
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on the production floor and escalate sensitive issues as needed
- Support conflict resolution processes, mediate discussions between employees and supervisors, and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies
- Manage Ethics & Compliance cases in line with corporate guidelines, ensuring timely investigation, documentation, confidentiality, and follow up actions
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives tailored to Operations
- Coordinate communication initiatives with shopfloor workers (e.g. Townhalls, info boards, etc.)
- Support talent management activities, including performance review coordination, succession planning, and career development tracking
- Maintain HRIS data and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports and analytics for Operations leadership (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, overtime, productivity KPIs impacting HR)
- Participate in HR and Operations projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing turnover, enhancing employee experience, and supporting cultural initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes within the production environment and contribute to the implementation of best practices in scope of VOS
