Opis posla
We are looking for a versatile and experienced PR and Event Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both public relations and event management, with experience in scientific events. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for blending PR and event management to create impactful and successful events, we want to hear from you.
Work place:
- University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNIZG-FER, https://www.fer.unizg.hr/) until the end of the year
- CoE MARBLE – Centre of Excellence in Maritime Robotics and Technologies for Sustainable Blue Economy, from 1.1.2025.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dissemination and communication strategies to promote events and increase visibility or CoE MARBLE
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including various meetings, visits and events (conferences, symposiums, workshops, seminars, trainings)
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, from budgeting and vendor selection to venue coordination and on-site operations
- Collaborate with media outlets, and key stakeholders to generate buzz and coverage for events
- Collaborate with scientific organizations, research institutions, and industry partners to create engaging and impactful event programs
- Coordinate with speakers, presenters, and attendees to ensure a seamless event experience
- Evaluate event success and provide post-event analysis to drive continuous improvement

Candidates’ profile:
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Economics, Management, Engineering, Humanities, Languages etc).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR and/or event management
- Strong understanding of PR principles and event planning best practices
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in event planning software, PR tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills (in English, other languages are a plus) and the ability to effectively interface with a large and diverse multinational consortium.
Preferred qualifications:
- Public speaking experience
- Organisation of scientific events
- Driver’s licence: B category
