Engineering Manager - Single Phase UPS (m/f)

As a team manager, your responsibilities include: - Provide technical leadership to internal Vertiv functions - marketing, sales, application engineering, customer technical support and service, and manufacturing - Bring extensive experience as well as new ideas and technologies to the table to drive innovation and reliability - Responsible for managing the team’s day to day responsibilities and reporting status - Assign priorities to the team and assists them with escalating issues and solving problems - Oversee the lab and Test engineers who support the products - Review and track engineering budget for their group - Lead, mentor, and coach a team of electrical and system engineers and technicians

Requirements: - Technical team management experience - 10 years of product development or support for electrical products - Strong knowledge of full product design cycle and the engineering disciplines: Electrical circuit design and PCB layout, Power systems up to 20KW, analog sensors, digital comm.; Firmware, Embedded, DSP; Mechanical, 3D modeling, sheet metal, plastics, vendor selections; Testing, Prototype DVT testing, regulatory and safety - Ability to organize and schedule team activities - Engineering software and systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, CREO, Mentor Graphics, etc. - Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills; Ability to successfully communicate and articulate complex topics to a broad range of people - Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams - 100% fluent in English, with strong people skills - motivation and conflict resolution - Some International travel required – 10%
