Business Planning Analyst (m/f)

Purpose of the role: The primary objective of this role is to provide regular financial analytics for performance management, focusing on Sales, P&L and other financial KPIs with the goal to understand these KPIs to drive business performance and propose gap closing strategies.

As a Business Planning Analyst, you will play instrumental role in implementation and enhancement of financial reporting tools to analyze business performance and lead business decisions. You will collaborate closely with the Adriatic finance team, as well marketing and medical teams, to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and enhance BI reporting and analytic tools, streamlining automated reporting of multi countries
Participate in the S&OP process for Adriatic countries, collaborating closely with Adriatic finance team, logistics, market access and marketing departments while consolidating data and preparing insightful business performance outlook
Prepare data and information packages for Business Reviews with Cluster and Country visits
Handle monthly closing activities related to sales and costs
Analyze actual performance and provide insightful commentary with proposals
Assess resource allocation to ensure implementation of global strategies and maximize impact on the Adriatic market
Ensure all financial activities are completed timely and in compliance with Novartis policies, procedures, local laws and regulations.

Requirements:

University or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with expertise in Power BI tools, including the ability to develop reports and dashboards.
3-5 years of relevant working experience.
Excellent communication skills in English and the local language (Croatian).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in digital skills, including Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capability and Power BI.
Eagerness to develop in an innovative environment and work with diverse stakeholders.
