Mechanical Engineer (m/f)

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Single Phase UPS department in Zagreb! As a member of Vertiv’s Single Phase UPS team in Zagreb, you will be a part of a team of competent and collaborative colleagues, working on innovative projects in a stimulating workplace, where you will be able to develop your skills and expertise. You will help us to ensure that our products meet high design, development, and production quality. You will drive the product development process from beginning to end. You will review market requirements documents and create engineer requirement specifications, provide feedback to different function teams. You will use 3D CAD software to take product specifications and turn them into a manufacturable product, then release that design into our engineering product lifecycle management (PLM) system. Responsibilities: - Create 3D models using sheet metal and part modeling functionality in CAD. - Create drawings and bills of material for sheet metal and purchased parts. - Generate complex assembly drawings and bills of materials. - Revise product documentation in CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database using our revision control system. - Work with manufacturing engineers and production associates to build prototypes and provide direction when needed. - Write, submit, and release engineering changes in our PLM database. - Ability to interpret agency design standards (Such as UL and IEC) for our products.

- BS or above in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience in design engineering of exceptional ability - More than five years of experience in designing sheet metal and plastic products, familiar with sheet metal processing technology, proficient in Creo or other 3D design software - Have a basic understanding of the relevant materials of power electronic products, product thermal design, safety regulations, EMC, and other related knowledge - Familiarity with flow/thermal analysis and shock & vibration analysis preferred - Expertise with packaging design and testing would be considered an advantage The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
