JOB SUMMARY

The maintenance specialist is responsible supporting in the up-keep of TAWAL Croatia’s tower sites and associated equipment to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency. The position’s key responsibilities and accountabilities involve assisting in the planning and execution of maintenance activities, identifying preventive measures, and participating in troubleshooting issues to maintain the optimal performance of our telecommunications infrastructure.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist in the development, upkeep, and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery, as well as strategies for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in adherence to TAWAL’s SLAs and procedures
Support in the development and execution of preventive maintenance plans and tasks to minimize downtime and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance
Participate in the routine maintenance checks to ensure that tower operations and maintenance activities are effectively performed and are providing the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction
Assist in all aspects of other operations and maintenance including day to day operations, projects activities, preventive & corrective maintenance, security, and operations reporting in all TAWAL sites to ensure efficient and effective services are delivered to the customer
Assist in managing inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs while implementing quality control measures and maintenance programs that meet company and industry standards
Support periodic and annual counts for TAWAL warehouses to ensure physical stock matches the stock in used systems
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and any site-related incidents or changes
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability in tower operations and maintenance practices
Attend to other tasks and responsibilities requested by the line manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering; additional technical certifications in maintenance or related fields are a plus
Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field

Functional Expertise (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Telecommunication industry knowledge/experience is considered a plus
Knowledge of maintenance procedures, maintenance planning and management relevant to passive telecom infrastructure, relevant equipment, and electromechanical maintenance is required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual thinking and troubleshooting skills
Proven computer skills including MS Office and similar
Effective negotiation and communication skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills including an ability to be a results-oriented team player
Strong desire to learn, and exhibits ambition and drive
Fluent in English, with previous experience where language skills are used to communicate with international leadership teams
