Director, Digital Advertising (m/f/d).
The Director, Digital Advertising is a Paid Media expert and leader who loves the challenge of developing effective campaigns across platforms. In this role, you will be accountable and responsible for effective driving registration and participation across the portfolio of The IRONMAN Group operated events across more than 50 countries. This is a highly visible and fast paced role which focuses on crafting and executing meaningful and effective paid media strategies alongside your agency, internal marketing teams and your own team. The role will translate business goals into relevant customer experiences that drive revenue and engagement while being responsible for both strategizing and executing the plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Digital Advertising team as the subject matter expert.
- Lead and manage a global Digital Advertising team consisting of Managers/Snr Managers.
- Manage appointed advertising agencies appointed by The IRONMAN Group in Europe and North America.
- Collaborate with the Global Social Media team and Regional/Local Marketing Managers to develop digital advertising campaigns globally, with a focus on North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions across a variety of brands.
- Responsible for the team’s performance and for achieving the business targets.
- Strategize and lead the development of performance-based strategies based on business goals.
- Drive the team’s optimization efforts through data-driven insights and measurements.
- Oversee, develop and execute strategies to unlock greater performance and learnings.
- Use your strong understanding of wider marketing principles like user journeys to implement effective marketing messaging at all stages of the funnel.
- Utilize advanced campaign reporting to derive actionable insights and learnings to apply to IRONMAN’s digital paid campaigns.
- Help our teams identify and create savvy social media content for advertising campaigns.
- Work together with our creative team to provide feedback and suggestions to our marketing and partnerships teams about improving creatives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to identify what pushes the needle.
