Job description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning and configuration of transformer monitoring systems, ensuring that they meet client specifications and operate efficiently in real-world environments. You will work closely with technical teams and customers to troubleshoot and optimize system performance. Key responsibilities: - Commissioning and testing transformer monitoring systems (TMS) in the field and remotely - Reading, adjusting, and implementing software code for system operation - Setting up and configuring databases for data storage and analysis - Conducting system diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure operational readiness - Integration of the monitoring system with existing IT networks, ensuring reliable communication protocols - Providing technical support and training to clients regarding system operation and maintenance

Required education, knowledge and skills

Education: - Secondary (SSS), Bachelor's (VŠS), or Master’s (VSS) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Technical Skills: - Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in power systems and transformers - Proficiency in reading and configuring software code (e.g., C, C++, or similar) - Experience working with databases (SQL or equivalent) - Basic knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, communication protocols) Experience: - No need or previous experience in commissioning or field testing of electrical systems is an advantage - Familiarity with transformer monitoring or protection systems is a plus Other Skills: - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Willingness to travel to various client sites for on-site commissioning - Fluent in English, both written and spoken
