We are on the lookout for an experienced Event Manager to lead our production team.
With a number of smaller and larger events organised during the year the Event Manager will be at the heart of ensuring the seamless execution of our events. Our events include a conference, afterparties, excursions, meetups and, hopefully in future, a hackathon.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, a passion for creating memorable experiences, and the ability to manage multiple production elements simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
- Lead all production-related aspects of the event, ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
- Coordinate with technical teams, including sound, lighting, and staging, to ensure top-notch production quality.
Team Management:
- Direct and manage a team of production professionals, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring efficient communication and problem resolution.
- Manage our large team of volunteers.
Vendor Coordination:
- Engage and manage vendors, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors adhere to agreed terms and quality standards.
Budget Management:
- Develop and oversee the budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Monitor expenses, ensuring all production elements remain within budget.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential production-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Post-Event Analysis:
- Evaluate the production success of the event, gathering feedback from attendees and team members.
- Recommend improvements and innovative production solutions for future events.
