PET-CT Technologist (m/ž)

The PET-CT Technologist at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Croatia is responsible for performing PET-CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions under the direct supervision of the practice physicians and/or nuclear medicine physician. This role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating PET-CT scanners, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. The technologist must have a strong understanding of both PET and CT imaging techniques and protocols. Responsibility - Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols - Operate PET-CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images - Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort - Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure - Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions - Educate patients and their families about the PET-CT procedures and address any concerns - Stay updated with advancements in PET-CT technology and techniques - Maintain strict patient privacy and protects patients' confidential information - Performs other duties as assigned

- Completion of a formal nuclear medicine training program, with a CT background - At least two (2) years’ experience in a clinical setting, specifically with PET-CT imaging, is required - Strong understanding of PET and CT imaging principles and safety protocols - Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Croatian is required
