Controller Inventory and Asset Accounting EMEA (m/f)

We are searching for a Controller Inventory and Asset Accounting EMEA (m/f), based in our Shared Service Center in Zagreb (Croatia). This position will analyze processes, costs and financials in close cooperation with other departments, as well as support the Manager of Inventory & Asset Accounting EMEA.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Posting, valuation, and analysis of current and non-current assets.
SAP Key User and involvement in SAP and BI projects related to inventory and product-related fixed assets.
Contact person for process analyses and enhancements in the area of product fixed assets.
Optimization and coordination of the SAP interface between logistics and financial accounting.
Participation in account analyses and resulting recommendations for action.
Ensuring EMEA-wide material standard cost calculations and inventory valuation.
Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and variance analyses.
Preparation, commenting on, and further development of monthly reporting for sub-areas of the income statement and balance sheet.
Willingness to travel once a month for a week to the EMEA headquarters in Munich.

Your profile:

Successfully completed studies in business administration or economics with a focus on finance and accounting or a comparable qualification.
Several years of relevant professional experience desired, ideally in an internationally operating company.
Accounting knowledge required.

General Requirements:

Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Very good English skills, German is an advantage.
Very good SAP knowledge desirable.
Quick comprehension and process understanding.
Independent, detail-oriented, and reliable work style.
Good communication skills and team spirit.

Specific Requirements:

Knowledge of SAP (MM/FI/CO/BW).
In-depth knowledge of MS Power BI.
Excellent analytical skills.
Affinity for modern software tools.
Very good understanding of complex interrelationships.
