The Director of Business Development for the Infrastructure Solutions business unit will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our business on a regional scale, with a specific focus large projects / AI Factories. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to increase market share and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in global markets, with a particular emphasis on Neocloud, COLO and Hyperscale customers (AI Ecosystem)
- Strategic customer engagement: Collaborate directly with strategic customers, influencing their design decisions and securing Vertiv's products as the basis of design
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape in the AI Ecosystem
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account managers, solution architects and product development, marketing et to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives
- Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management
- Monitor and report on the performance of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed
- Thought leadership: Represent Vertiv at industry events, conferences, and trade publications to showcase technical expertise and disseminate reference designs
